Hicham Alaoui


Before joining Okan, Hicham worked in Investment Banking at UBS Dubai where he covered the Middle East and North Africa region, on a broad range of sectors. While at UBS, he was involved in several Mergers and Acquisitions and Equity Capital Markets transactions.

Prior to that, Hicham had spent time working in financial markets, in Fixed Income with Jefferies in London and Gas & Electricity with ENGIE in Brussels and Paris.

Hicham is a graduate from HEC Paris (Master of Science in Finance) and Arts et Métiers ParisTech (Grande Ecole, Master’s in Engineering)


Maha Khalfi


Before joining Okan, Maha worked at Enko Capital, a private equity fund in South Africa, where she covered Sub-Saharan Africa on a broad range of economic sectors. While at Enko Capital, she was involved in several investment transactions in West, East, and Central Africa.

Prior to that, Maha worked at KPMG where she acquired experience in deal advisory and financial auditing.

Maha is a graduate of ESSEC Business School (Master of Science in Management – specialization in finance)

Pierre Laurent

Pierre Laurent


Before joining Okan, he worked for the Economic Department of the French Embassy in Ireland, where he conducted notably a study for the French Treasury on the performances and prospects of the Irish banking sector. Before that, he carried a process optimization and cost reduction mission at Red Lands Roses, an innovative and dynamic rose production company in Kenya.

Pierre is a graduate from Ecole Polytechnique and Columbia University (MSc - The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science).

Yacine Najji

Yacine Najji


Before joining Okan, he worked for Mckinsey, where he has been active in the industrial and public sectors in Northern and West Africa. Before that, Yacine has gained a wealth of experience in the logistics sector in China and on the start-up scene in the United States. Yacine has also previously cofounded a fintech start-up active in France.

Yacine is a graduate of Ecole Centrale Paris.

Max Navarro-Roch

Max Navarro-Roch


Before joining Okan, Max worked within the Sovereign Advisory team at Rothschild & Co. He participated to financial advisory mandates on behalf of emerging countries.

Prior to that, Max occupied an investment analyst position within the Public Sector & Infrastructures team of a private debt fund. He was previously analyst in Transaction Services at KPMG, where he contributed to financial due diligences in the context of international M&A transactions.

Max is a graduate from Sciences Po and HEC Paris.


Kevan Raffi Khansari


Before joining Okan, Kevan worked at the German Marshall Fund of the United States, an American think tank focusing on Transatlantic relations and European Affairs.

Prior to that, Kevan worked at the Permanent Representation of France to the European Union where he contributed to the discussions on Intellectual Property within the European institutions. He also gained experience in investment banking at Lazard, participating in negotiations on the spin-off of a telecom company's asset in Bangladesh.

Kevan holds an MSc in Management from ESSEC Business School and a Master in Public Affairs from Sciences Po.

Co-founder of Sagaci Research, a market intelligence company dedicated to Africa, founded in 2012 by former BCG consultants (8 offices of which 6 in Africa). Strong expertise in the retail and consumer goods sector.

Graduated from EM Lyon.


Arjen Iwema

Energy and transport.

Founder and manager of W-focus, a boutique consulting firm focusing on the provision of strategic and operational advice (Consulting Training and Coaching).

Arjen has an extensive experience (8 years as a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company) in a variety of sectors incl. aviation, NGOs, healthcare and health systems, oil and gas/energy across Europe, the Americas, Southeast Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

Arjen holds a degree from IMD (MBA , Lausanne) and Delft University (Masters of Science in Aerospace Engineering).


Gabriel Lambert

Agriculture, community development.

Gabriel is the co-founder of Agriate, a consulting firm specializing in agriculture & rural development.

6 years in Jordan and the Palestinian territories as coordinator of irrigation projects and as responsible for the elaboration of the national policy for the management of agricultural water for the Palestinian territories.

Gabriel is an expert in technical and economic management of agricultural operations. He worked in commercial farms for three years in France and abroad (Middle East, New Zealand).

He graduated from the ISTOM, engineering school in International Agro-Development.


Hamza Laraichi

Co-founder of Infomineo, a company dedicated to data and information search in Africa and the Middle East founded in 2011 by former consultants of McKinsey and BCG (>65 persons located in 7 offices of which Morocco, Egypt, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa) and a network of freelancers in more than 25 countries.

Graduated from HEC Paris.


Othmane Mikou

Banking & Insurance / Based in Morocco.

Founder of Naos Consulting, strategy consulting firm based in Morocco, okanpartners.com partner. Before that, Othmane spent 8 years at McKinsey, in Casablanca. Othmane is an expert in the financial sector, having carried many engagements for banks and insurance companies, in Africa on various subjects (strategy, due diligence, operational transformation).

Othmane graduated from HEC Paris.


Malick Ouattara

Financial advisory / Based in Ivory Coast.

Founder of Footprint Advisory (2013), consulting firm (financial advisory and implementation) based in Côte d’Ivoire.

Malick worked for 15 years in leading consulting firm in Paris : audit for 6 years at Deloitte (main clients : Alstom, Atos Origin, Ineo, Eridania Beghin-Say) ; and from 2005, specialization in financial advisory: financial « due diligence », restructuring, companies valuation and « corporate finance ».

Malick graduated from Audencia Nantes and from ‘Private Equity Executive Program’ of the London Business School. He holds also a Diplôme Supérieur de Comptabilité et de Gestion (chartered accountant).

James Bond

James Bond is an independent financial advisor specializing in energy and infrastructure in emerging economies (incl. for Lazard Frères).

James has served in numerous managerial positions in the World Bank Group: COO MIGA, Country Director in francophone West Africa, and for the Indian Ocean, Global Director of Energy, Mining and Telecommunications, Director of Rural Development, Agriculture and Environment for Africa, Director of the Mining Department (IFC).

Before joining the World Bank Group James spent ten years with Total, the international oil and gas company, and also worked for Goldfields, a South African mining company.

James holds a degree in chemical engineering from University of Witwatersrand (South Africa), a graduate degree in energy economics and finance from ENSPM (France), and a Phd in economics from the University of Sorbonne (Paris).


Michael Grossman

Michael is director of international investments at the Calvert Social Investment Foundation where he manages over $100 million in impact investments in microfinance, agricultural cooperatives, social enterprises and development projects.

Before that, Michael was at McKinsey, as an expert in charge of economic development policies in Africa (Agriculture, private sector development).

He was Senior director of MCC (Millennium Challenge Corporation), in charge of negotiating and signing compacts (development program > 100 m USD) with various African countries.

He also hold various management responsibilities at Citigroup in Africa: Country Manager in Tunisia, Senegal, and in charge of Corporate finance for West Africa (based in Côte d’Ivoire).

He holds an MS in Finance from MIT Sloan School of Management and a BS from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.


Patrick Sevaistre

Patrick is an economist, specialist in the private sector development programs (design, management, assessment) in the ACP countries; he regularly works on PPP projects and the development of innovative financial tools for the private sector.

He used to be the Managing Director of Africa Initiatives SA (since 2004), an investment company in African SMEs, established and chaired by Michel Rocard (former French Prime Minister).

Patrick is also a member of the Executive Committee of the CIAN (French Council of Investors in Africa), adviser to the Foreign Trade of France / CCEF (appointed in 2009 by decree of the Prime Minister).

Patrick is a graduate of the Institut Supérieur de Gestion (ISG -1975).
